Using Reference Data

Open portlet by clicking on Admin, Reference Data portlet

Use the Reference drop down to select the required type of reference data (eg Access Reason, Assembly points, emergency roles).

This will then display the current list of reference data of the selected type.  

Data cannot be deleted (as it may have been applied to a record which would cause issues for reporting)

Use the keyword Search box to search for a word contained within any of the displayed columns.

Use the edit icon to update any existing data.

To add a new item to a drop down list click the Add button.

Usually a unique Code will automatically be generated for the type of reference data.  This is a numeric code.   Tdsaccess can be configured to allow the user to manually enter unique codes if required.

Enter the Description for the item.  It is the description that displays in the drop down list.
