View access groups

The configure access group portlet is for selecting terminals and grouping them together to enable a person to be granted access to a single access group rather than the individual terminals.  When one or more access groups are granted to a person this is referred to as the person's access profile.

1. Select Menu => Admin => Configure Access Profile

2. View all access groups

View all access groups

All access groups within tdsaccess are displayed.  Use keyword search to find particular access group.

Data displayed is access group code, access group descrption, assigned terminals (hover over to see all terminals assigned (1)), public visitor indicator, time & attendance indicator, cardlink hotspot indicator, auto assigned person types, auto assigned zones.  

Note:  The portlet's keyword search will not search for individual terminals - use more options for this.

The portlet can be filtered by terminal and whether the access group is of type public visitor, time & attendance or cardlink hotspot.  If a filter by terminal is applied, this will display all access groups that contain this terminal.  If more than one terminal is selected (1), this will filter the portlet to show all access groups that contain ALL of these terminals.

3. Click export to csv

Click export to csv button.  

3.1. Click downloaded file

In chrome the downloaded csv file will appear at the bottom left of the screen.  Click on the file to open in a spreadsheet such as Excel or as NotePad.  

3.2. Widen assigned terminals column

If the code number appears in a strange format (1) widen the column to display properly.  All assigned terminals will be shown separated by commas in the assigned terminal column (2).

4. Click print to pdf

Click print button at the bottom right of the portlet to print the access groups currently displayed.

The access groups report will open in a separate tab of the web browser.  All assigned terminals are listed.
